I just don't get any of this. Interesting technique I suppose, but it sounds like math to me. I'll take any Bert Jansch song over these tappers.

Who's Bert Jansch?

When I open my monastery, I'm going to have this guy come sit by the door in the evenings and play us into the night.

He invented guitar playing in 1965.

What about old Dwayne Allman guitar licks or a younger more modern version in Derek Trucks who has his own band and still plays with Greg Allman and his band?

Manipulation of the guitar is interesting, but using the instrument as intended with a slide is my preference. You can't get those lonesome mournful sounds like you do in Elizabeth Reed any other way (short of a violin), one of the Allman Bros best songs, all instrumental.

To each his own I guess, although I do like gypsy guitar of Django from the Hot Club of Paris.

Amazing. Mr. Jansch invented the guitar and a time travel machine? Remarkable.

(We should write a book about him. Sure to be a best-seller.)

Hey Bryan,

Found the blog and love it. You can't forget about that sensational kid from Korea, Sungha Jung.

Again, great guitar! I love it!

Hey Chris! How's things?

Yeah, I've seen Jung before. Here's the kid playing a Michael Hedges song, who I just highlighted in Guitar Dreams II.

Awesome song, too.

That looks like more than twelve strings. Also it looks like six of the strings are not mounted below the other six, like on a normal twelve string.
