That's what happens when you know too much about the process of writing.

Sometimes we need to gag that internal writer so we can read without analyzing, also known as reading for pleasure, escapism, etc.

For anyone interested, I've reviewed Jacob Wonderbar at my blog. I just finished reading it last week, and enjoyed it very much. I'm a science fiction fan from way back.

I used to think that writing ruined reading (see: editing was even worse), but I've since decided that was an ignorant point of view.

And I was reading the wrong books.
