Ahhh, that started out terribly but certainly redeemed itself by the end.

By Monk I assume you mean Thelonius? Has there ever been a cooler name in history? I think not.

Of course this is way too long for FF, but you sir, methinks, can get away with it. I love the image at the end: the rusting weapons, nature reclaiming the streets, and music, always music in the air.

It's charming and comforting at the same time. Another well done piece.
