The Usual Suspects has the best movie line ever, with The Princess Bride a close second.

Nice to see some love for Hong Kong. You've got to check out Blade of Fury.

Wow, I'd have a hard time trying to remember 100 movies. But I have seen some of those you mentioned.

I can't believe I keep seeing these lists without Blade Runner on them. The horror...

I could never get into the Bourne series. LOVED Minority Report. I remember being fascinated by the concept.

I agree with Ted! :)

Holy shit. The whole thing is on Youtube until someone demands they take it down:

I think I like the idea of liking Blade Runner more than I actually like Blade Runner. I find it interesting and evocative in some ways, and yet I have a hard time engaging with it, too. Something has always put me off about the movie, and I've never been entirely sure what it is. I want to like it more than I do, but I never quite seem to be able to.

Though I haven't seen it in a long time, so maybe a new viewing is in order.

@ Matt

That sword is bigger than him.

Also, this is hard. I left off the Aliens series. Why? I have no idea. And the Lethal Weapon Series. And the first Die Hard movie. And a bunch of fantastic films that are actually much better than some of these films, but which I don't think of as "favorite" films. Like Kids. I mean, that movie... I haven't seen it in two decades, and I still remember scenes from it so vividly. But I can't think of it as a "favorite."

The music alone in Blade Runner puts it in the top 10 all time! Got to be better than Temple of Doom, surely! ;)

I dind't formally count, but I'm estimating a 65% overlap with my list, if I were to find the time to complete one.

One I would add: Memento.

Doom has its charms. :)

@Rick

Yeah, I considered Memento. It's probably just outside my top 100 (though it's a better movie than many that are higher up).

Great list. One thing Nathan's list seemed to lack was movies about writing, and here you got favorites like You've Got Mail, Finding Forrester, and Wonder Boys.

Howl's Moving Castle! I forgot that one.

Great list, Bryan. I like that you included some animated ones. They're my favorites, too, but I think it takes a parent to be brave enough to say it. :D

Yeah, big sword. That's even the name of his crew.
